I've optimized the QB for 40/16 fixed riding, which works for about 90% of the road riding I do on the bike. By optimized, I mean that i put the fixed cog on the "drive" side of the tire (rotation-wise) and put the QR skewer in so that it locks down on the non-drive side.

I have the SKS fenders on the bike, and I put the quick-release tabs on the rear so the fender would be easy to pull out for the flip. I worked with the fender adjustment so that it could run in 32/18 and 40/16. However, even with the quick-release fender stays, AND with the bike in the stand, flipping the hub was non-trivial. In fact, it sucked. Nothing I want to attempt on the road (I did attempt a flip last Sunday... no fun).

So, tonight, I hacked together a workable solution, because I really want to flip this wheel when the urge hits and I don't want to hesitate b/c it's such a hassle. I also want to keep my rack and as much fender as possible.

So, I sacrificed a bit of the fender for easy of flipping.

In the stand, it works about 98% better than it did in the stand with full fenders. My RB-T has a similar fender "reach" as this bike. It's not ideal, and you don't want to be riding behind me when it's raining, but it does keep the majority of crud off me and the bike. It's a workable solution. If I still lived in Seattle, though, I don't think I would do this. Spokane gets less than 1/2 the average rain fall that Seattle gets though.
