For years I hosted a Black Friday ride. The goal was a hard road/trail ride that made both a mountain or a CX bike the non-optimal choice. (Of course the best choice is always a CX bike.) My standard Ferry County Morel loop made for a perfect BF ride today with a bit snow to make the going rough on the top 4 miles. I would’ve loved to have shared the ride with a crew of friends. Maybe next year. Grateful nonetheless though for having the luck-of-life draw to take this ride today.
