Here are the pictures from our 4-day, cross-Washington bike trip. Karim, Bob, and I went 283 miles, starting in Cedar Falls, on July 3 and ending at Bob's parents house in Medical Lake, WA on July 6th. We camped along the way. It was a bit more intense than any of us had thought it would be.
We took the Milwaukee/John Wayne Rail Trial to the Columbia, then went by back roads for the eastern part of the trip.

Bike Trip 03 -- Day 1

  • 10.75 average mph
  • Highlights: beautiful ride over Snoqualmie pass; 2 mile tunnel (see darkish picture below) one flat tire; bracing end-of-day dip in the Yakima river.
